When it was created?: it was open in 1884.
Who created it?: Marie Tussaud.
Why she created the museum?: The sculptor Marie Tussaud established her first exhibition of waxworks in London in 1835, offering entry to sixpence. After becoming a success, in 1884 the museum moved to the building in which it is today.
